Colorectal cancer is cancer of the large intestines and rectum. it is the third most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S.

It affects men and women from all racial and ethnic groups but it is most common in people 50 and over. Unfortunately, most colorectal cancers are "silent" tumors.

They grow slowly and often do no produce symptoms until they reach a large size. However, colorectal cancer is preventable and curable if detected early.
