Volunteers at Southeast Missouri Hospital wrap the gift of time with a special talent for caring.
Southeast Missouri Hospital's Auxiliary volunteers contributed more than 45,692 hours in 2002. They also welcomed 75 new members last year, swelling the ranks to more than 420.
The Auxiliary also contributed $50,000 to the Hospital in 2002 from many projects that includes the Wishing Well Gift Shop in the Lobby.

There are no age restrictions for adult volunteers. Every effort is made to pair each volunteer’s interest and time availability with service opportunities open at the time. People from all over the region are active participants in the volunteer program.
All adult volunteers join the Auxiliary and dues are $5 a year. Volunteers can buy smocks and vests at cost or borrow them while on duty.
To reflect its appreciation and the value of the volunteer effort to the Hospital, a fringe benefit package has been developed for those who volunteer 150 hours or more per year.
Each summer, Southeast sponsors a popular Junior Volunteer program for young people age 14-18. |
